From time to time coils don't read at the resistance they are built at. This can be for a number of reasons, but if it is a difference of 0.05ohm or less then it is usually because the coil hasn't been broken in properly or, if it has, it's simply a matter of how the coil has been built. It is very difficult to build the perfect coil that reads at a precise resistance, so there is often a degree of variation between the stated resistance and the true resistance.
On some box mods, there is a setting to change the coil resistance to give you a more accurate reading.
